GlobalLink 520
We believe that having clear insight into your installation is essential for maintaining and operating off-grid energy solutions. Off-grid should not mean offline, thanks to the Victron GlobalLink 520.
The GlobalLink 520 provides 4G LTE-M connectivity for all VE.Direct-enabled devices, with no monthly fees or subscriptions for the first five years.
Global Connectivity with 4G LTE-M
LTE-M (LTE Cat-M1) is a low-power 4G cellular technology designed for Internet of Things (IoT) devices. It connects to existing 4G towers while using minimal energy.
LTE-M supports handover and roaming, making the GlobalLink 520 suitable for use in moving vehicles, such as campervans. Availability depends on local provider support—please consult the GlobalLink 520 manual to confirm LTE-M coverage in your region. Coverage continues to expand as providers roll out support worldwide.
Your purchase includes five years of connectivity, eliminating the need to purchase a separate SIM card or data bundle.
System Monitoring & Control
The GlobalLink 520 features two VE.Direct communication ports, allowing you to connect up to two VE.Direct devices—such as a BMV Battery Monitor and/or an MPPT Solar Charge Controller—directly to the VRM portal.
Compatible Victron Smart products can also be connected via Bluetooth (BLE). Additionally, the GlobalLink 520 includes:
Two digital inputs that can also function as pulse counters
A remotely controllable relay
This makes it a powerful solution for both monitoring and controlling your installation.
Built-In Antenna
The GlobalLink 520 includes a built-in antenna designed for global use. For installations requiring improved reception—such as inside a utility vehicle—an external antenna can optionally be installed.
RuuviTag Support
The GlobalLink 520 supports RuuviTag temperature sensors. These battery-powered sensors connect via Bluetooth and are easily configured using VictronConnect.
Sensor data—including temperature, humidity, and air pressure—is automatically available in the VRM portal.
Victron Remote Management (VRM)
The Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal provides secure access to your installation from anywhere in the world. Through VRM, you can:
View the status of connected products
Analyze detailed historical energy data
Generate advanced reports
Configure automatic alarms for system events
