FAQ's

How long will the battery last?

On average our batteries last just over a day per Kwh with average use. Everyones power usage is different so to calculate how long it will last for your needs simply calculate the tools power rating x how long it will be running. For example a 150w sander running for 2 hours a day for 5 days will use 1.5kWh.

Keep in mind power tools only draw their rated current under heavy load, so a 1500w dropsaw may only use 1200w cutting framing timber, but use all 1500w cutting thicker wood.

What size Power station do I need?

Our medium Power Station is perfect for small construction sites and will power most power tools with ease. Our Extra Large Power Station has a peak output of 18kW and may be needed where power tools with a large induction motor and high startup current are being used.

Why choose a power station over a generator?

-As well as being cheaper to run, here are 3 more reasons to choose a Solar Generator from us.

-Our power stations are always on standby and only supply power when its needed so you dont waste any fuel ideling between jobs.

-Our power stations excel at tasks that have huge inrush currents and low power draws, Just like power tools and water pumps. With a peak of 18kW our power stations can provide the high currents equivilant to industrail generators, while still having the efficiency of batteries during smaller loads.

-Our power stations are ideal for use indoors and in noise restricted areas due to their emission and noise free design, while still being rugged and water resistant.

How does the battery swapping system work?

We remotely monitor the state of charge (battery level) of all our batteries, If you apply for our battery swaping service, once your Power Station drops below 20% we send someone out to swap it for you, before it runs out of power. This means less hastle for your business, so you can focus on the things that matter.

It looks heavy, How do we move it around our site?

Battery technology has come a long way, so while all our solar generators are similar weight to equiliviant traditional generators, they also come on handy trollys making them safe and easy to move.
